Our Process

We focus on one thing only – making beautiful exterior shutters – and we are the best at it! And by staying focused on manufacturing only the most popular shutter styles, we’re able to lower inventory costs and better streamline production. All of which results in lower costs and big savings to our customers.

Did You Know

Below are some important facts about ALL shutters that leave the Shaker Shutters factory:

  • All shutters are custom built once your order is placed.
  • Our shutters are all hand-built in Alpharetta, GA. Your shutters will be 100% Made in the USA!
  • We use only the highest quality composite material for all shutters. With no wood ever being used in our shutters, you can rest assured that your custom shutters are built to last!
  • All nails, screws and other fasteners used in our production process are stainless steel or galvanized, ensuring that you will never have nails that rust, or ugly rust streaks on your shutters.
  • We use heavy-duty boards and trim for all shutters. Once you feel the weight and see the solid construction of our shutters, you’ll know you made the right choice for your premium shutters!
  • Our primer and all colored finish paints include a moisture-blocking compound and are the highest quality exterior paints available today.
  • We generally complete the assembly and painting of your shaker shutters within 20 business days (often less) after receipt of the order. This is one of the fastest turnaround times in the industry for custom shutters!
