How to Measure Shutter Width
  • Measure the width of each window to the nearest ¼”
  • Divide the total width measurement in half
  • If you want the shutters to open and close (rather than just be fixed mounted) then subtract another ¼” from the number you get in Step 2
  • Enter the Shutter Width measurement in the Order Form
How to Measure Shutter Height
  • Measure the height of each window from the top of the lintel to the inner edge of the bottom sill. Measure to the nearest ¼”
  • If you want the shutters to open and close (rather than just be fixed mounted) then subtract another ¼” from the number you get in Step 1
  • Enter the Shutter Height measurement in the Order Form

Note: We strive to produce the most stylish and eye-catching shutters made. As a general rule, if your shutters are greater than 50” tall, we will use two (2) center rails to create a three equal-sections shaker style. If your shutters are less than 50” tall, we generally use one (1) center rail to create a two equal-sections shutter.
